Several variants both for development of a master plan and architectural solutions for objects had been created for a new international airport on behalf of the company Altkom from Donetsk (Ukraine).
New Turkmanabat Airport
WAM had developed solutions for a new airport in the city of Turkmenbashi in cooperation with Energoprojekt i Arhitektura and DOMAA from Belgrade (Serbia).
Development
Thereby different possible locations, as well as development possibilities, had been analysed in terms of profitability. Analysis of cost-effectiveness of these sites had been conducted in terms of construction phase and subsequent utilisation.
Several development variants were examined. Advantages and disadvantages were analysed and evaluated.
Preparations of various proposals also included spatial planning factors, land use and development options. Special emphasis had been put on expansion and required potential areas.
Particular attention was dedicated to the expansion and the potential surfaces required to do so.
