Infrastructural Engineering
With increasing complexity of legislation and the increasing demands of man, nature and technology, the tasks in civil engineering are growing. We support our clients in infrastructure projects from idea to the realisation, in the development, supply and disposal as well as the maintenance and monitoring of the facilities. Our task is to provide the public or private builders with scope and appropriate solutions that are adapted to the local conditions as well as sustainable solutions, to optimise the consequences and costs.

Project planning and construction management
The realisation of roads, utility pipelines, etc., requires a detailed project planning, which has to be developed step by step considering all relevant issues. A project must meet environmental concerns and optimise costs and benefits. Comprehensive clarifications on all existing systems and the inclusion of the planned new systems lead to a coordinated construction package. An intensive and expert construction management ensures that the building is also realised in the ordered type and quality.
Development planning and road construction
The implementation of roads, squares, etc., is often preceded by a definition in corresponding usage plans. Timely solutions that demand a holistic assessment of the system by the planner and engineer as well as the consideration of the road space from facade to facade usually also lead to an appreciation of the quality of stay as well as of the image of village or neighbourhood.
Planning of airport infrastructure
Intairplan , an independent division of WAM, participates in the planning and design of airport infrastructure and facilities worldwide and advises on new construction projects as well as extensions or renovations of existing facilities. Essential tasks of Intairplan include the planning and supervision of the implementation of runways, taxiway and apron systems as well as the associated lighting and lighting systems.
Renovation, replacement or extension of utility lines
Completely new civil engineering facilities are becoming rarer today. Much more often it is about adapting existing facilities to the changed conditions or rehabilitating them. The rehabilitation, replacement or expansion of plant pipelines should be planned in an optimised cost-benefit ratio, taking into account the continuous operation of all affected infrastructure facilities.
Public utility cadastre and databases
The need for immediate access to plant-specific data of public works is growing. The creation and updating of databases on wastewater, electrical and other public networks via IT ensures fast access and flexible handling. With our IT infrastructure and corresponding expertise, we are able to build solutions that are adapted to the specific problem of a community.
Drainage planning and Sanitary Engineering
Proper handling of rainwater, consistent implementation of water protection legislation and a network adapted to local conditions lead to sustainable and financially sustainable wastewater disposal. Among the main tasks of WAM are the creation and tracking of general drainage plans (GEP) including investment and activities programs. We do also assist municipalities in examining and assessing construction requests requiring expert opinion on water protection, and carry out inspections and acceptances of infiltration facilities.
