Starting Point
In connection with the new construction of the Biogen complex on the Attisholz Süd site in Luterbach, the construction of a pressure pipe for the resulting process wastewater is planned. The pipeline will lead from the new production plant on the Attisholz site to an especially developed pre-treatment plant on the ZASE site near Emmenspitz Zuchwil. A separate sewage pipeline is necessary because the wastewater resulting from the manufacturing processes is very nutrient-rich and it must be pre-treated prior to mixing it with remaining wastewater for purification.
Biogen uses natural gas as an energy source for heat generation. The natural gas can be derived from the existing grid in Zuchwilstrasse. The pipeline for this is combined with the pipeline for the process water pipeline from the same connection point in Zuchwilstrasse.
Tasks of WAM
WAM planners and engineers took on the development of the cantonal development plan required for the realization of the lines, as well as the project planning. They also ensured coordination with the specialist planner for contaminated sites and groundwater.
The challenges with this project were the short time horizons for the preparation of the necessary documents.
In addition, the project had to be coordinated with the projects "Replacement project for the cantonal road bridge between Zuchwil and Luterbach", "Flood protection and revitalization project Emme" and the project "New construction project for KEBAG Enova", both in terms of space and time.
