Solothurn, Rail Station RBS , Redesign of Bike-&-Ride-Area

WAM planners and engineers have worked together with RBS's construction department to develop a preliminary and construction project for the reconstruction of the Bike + Ride facilities at the Solothurn railway station between 2011 and 2012. As part of the preliminary design different variants of additional two wheeler parking spaces (bicycles, scooters, motorcycles) incl. possible SolarCarport and car parking spaces were audited.
Tasks of WAM
Based on the results of the preliminary and construction project phase for the reconstruction of the Bike + Ride facility, WAM Planer und Ingenieure was commissioned to handle the further phases. This included the elaboration of the implementation project, the implementation of a submission, the monitoring of the execution, the commissioning and the completion of the work.During the construction phase, particular attention was paid to railway operations and the flow of persons in and around the building site.
